Professional Experience & Qualifications

Jessica holds a Master of Laws (Applied Law) majoring in Family Law, providing her with advanced technical expertise in family dispute resolution and litigation. Her unique perspective on court processes is shaped by her formative experience as a former Judge’s Associate, giving her valuable insight into judicial decision-making.

She has extensive experience as a solicitor advocate, regularly appearing and instructing counsel in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia Division 1 (Original and Appellate Jurisdiction) and Division 2 (Family Law matters), ACT Magistrate’s Court (Family Violence Order and Personal Protection Order matters), ACT Supreme Court & ACT Court of Appeal (Adoption matters) and the ACT Children’s Court (Care and Protection matters). She has successfully run applications for Recovery orders, Family Law Watch list orders, Commonwealth Information Orders, change of residence, sole decision-making responsibility), professionally supervised time between the children and other parent or suspension of time, urgent injunctions (including freezing accounts and for the personal protection of parents and children), spousal maintenance, parentage testing and other parenting and property related orders.
