George Popadalis is the principal of Black Mountain Financial, an independent commercial finance and debt advisory practice in Canberra, serving the ACT and regional NSW. He brings 20+ years across banking & finance to every file.
He founded Black Mountain Financial on a simple idea: how a facility is structured matters as much as the rate on it. As an adviser — not a lender-paid placement broker — George is mandated to the client, and builds each capital stack around the project and its exit, not a panel blast.
His clients are business owners, property developers, and established businesses funding their next move. Every deal is senior-led: the principal who structures it runs it through to settlement, drawing on a panel of 100+ lenders — major banks, regional, non-bank and private credit — to find the right fit.
