Turini McKean Law, a boutique family law firm was established by Carlos Turini and Yolanda McKean.  The firm is focused on providing thoughtful strategic advice and strong advocacy for clients across a range of family law matters.

Carlos Turini is an accredited Family Law specialist with over thirty years’ experience in all aspects of family law. He has been involved in complex divorce, de-facto and property matters, parenting matters, relocation of children including international relocation and abduction of children (Hague Convention) cases, contravention matters, location and recovery of children, domestic violence, child support and adoption cases including adoption of adults.

Carlos is passionate about alternative dispute resolution (ADR) applied to family law to attempt to resolve matters well for the client, recognising that the vast majority of family law matters settle. He was a founding member and original chair of the ADR Committee of the ACT Law Society.

Carlos’s unique approach to family law is to devise a Case Plan with the client from the start, a Case Plan which is outcome based, realistic, but which also includes careful tactical and strategic considerations. 

Joining Carlos at Turini McKean Law is Yolanda McKean.

Yolanda McKean is a family law solicitor who advises clients on parenting disputes, property settlements and complex financial matters arising from separation. She brings a diverse background to family law, with professional experience in both business management and the healthcare sector.  This experience gives her a practical understanding of complex financial arrangements, superannuation and taxation issues, as well as the healthcare and mental health systems that often intersect with family law matters.

Before focusing her practice on family law, Yolanda held senior leadership and executive roles in the healthcare sector. She has also run her own successful small businesses in the hospitality and business services space.

Combining her legal knowledge and health management experience, Yolanda provides compassionate and effective support to families.
